Track welding completed on Line 12

Track welding of Metro Line 12’s west section was completed, marking another milestone before the route between Qufu Road Station and Qixin Road Station opens later this year.
Qufu Road Station in Zhabei District is the current western terminal. The line extends east under the Huangpu River to Jinhai Road Station in the Pudong New Area. With the opening of the new section, which covers the downtown area and reaches Qixin Road in Minhang District, the line will become another major subway route passing eight districts.
Line 12 will interchange with at least 11 other subway lines.
