Oriental Pearl Tower tribute to NYU Shanghai

A photographic exhibition opened yesterday at the Oriental Pearl Tower to display the processes involved in setting up NYU Shanghai, whose first class of about 300 students will graduate this month.

The Pearl Tower also signed a memorandum of understanding with NYU Shanghaito enhance cooperation in the future, including offering internships.

The tower will be lit up in violet, the color of NYU Shanghai, from 7pm to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday to honor the university's graduating students, following a long-standing NYU tradition of lighting up the Empire State Building in New York City.

The graduating students will also stage performances at the tower on Saturday night, and a graduation ceremony will be held at Shanghai Oriental Art Center on Sunday.
