Only 28% of Chinese moms adopt pure breast-feeding, conveniences for them should enhance: experts

ONLY 28 percent of Chinese mother give their babies pure breast-feeding and the government should promote education and give more favorable policies to encourage and convenient mother’s breast feeding, experts told a breast feeding seminar at Shanghai Women’s Federation today.
Most domestic working mothers have to return to their working places after maternity leave, while working places usually don’t have facilities convenient new mothers’ breast feeding and the advertisement of formula milk also mislead many women, experts said.
The world leading medical journal Lancet released its Chinese report of the series breast-feeding research report in Beijing yesterday and said women haven’t received enough support on breast-feeding globally and most countries failed to meet the goal of having 50 percent of babies with breast-feeding in the past 20 years.
