Nominated international productions for Magnolia Awards of Shanghai Television Festival announced

The 22rd Shanghai Television Festival which runs from June 6 to 10 has announced the nominated international productions for the Magnolia Awards.

A total of 54 entries from home and abroad will vie for the awards in the four categories of TV series, documentary, variety and animation.

Recent Chinese TV productions such as historical drama "The Legend of Miyue," epic series "Nirvana in Fire," fantasy series "The Journey of Flower" and spy series "In The Silence" will compete in the category of TV series. Most of the series received high viewership rates and acclaims from the critics.

Foreign series include German production "Letter to My Life," British drama "War and Peace" and French series "No Second Chance."

Ten candidates are nominated for the awards of best documentary film and best documentary series. Among them are British documentary "Shark," South Korean production "Numbers," Spanish series "After the Mist" and Japanese series "Tora's Family - 22 Years Story."

The variety category will feature the most popular variety shows in recent years including "Sing My Song," "Super Brain," "Amazing Chinese" and "Super Diva."

The awards ceremony will be held on the evening of June 10.
