Massive flight delays expected at Pudong airport due to poor visibility

MASSIVE flight delays are expected to hit the Pudong airport through midnight due to low visibility caused by the low-cloud weather.

Five flights with China Eastern Airlines have been diverted to land at airports in nearby cities today. More flights at the Pudong International Airport are expected to be affected.

China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines have launched emergency response to cope with likely massive flight delays. Passengers are suggested to check with the carriers before going to the airport to avoid being stranded. Flight information will be updated on the official websites of the airlines.

Take-offs at the Pudong airport started to be affected as early as 5pm today as visibility dropped because of the low-cloud weather.
