Lavender garden near Shanghai Disney Resort opens to public

A herb garden with over 200,000 pieces of lavender opened to the public today near the Shanghai Disney Resort.

The garden covering over 200,000 square meters is part of an evacuation area for large crowds of visitors within the Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone for Shanghai Disneyland, its operator the Shendi Group announced today.

An entrance ticket to the garden cost 60 yuan. The operator today announced the opening of a lavender blossom festival with the admission costs being 80 yuan each through mid-July. A rose garden and over 500 other local flowers are also planted.

The garden is available for couples to take wedding photos or hold grassland wedding ceremony, the group said. A light show will be held within the garden every night.
