Jinjiang taxi driver fired after sexually harassing girl in school uniform

THE Jinjiang Taxi management announced they had fired a taxi driver following a probe after he's accused of sexually harassing a school girl when driving her home this morning. 

Parents of the 14-year-old girl exposed through a popular Weibo account, which has lots of local followers, a photo of the harassment scene and details of the incident this morning. 

Post of the allegation has since spread like wildfire. 

They said their daughter asked for a sick leave this morning after feeling she was having a fever and waved down the taxi. The driver asked the girl, wearing school uniforms, to sit next to him claiming the back door was broken. 

He allegedly "sexually harassed" the girl during the ride. In a photo exposed online, an adult's hand could be seen put on the left thigh of a person in school unfirms sitting on the front seat of a local taxi. The taxi driver's business license No. and mugshot are both shown in the same photo. 

The parents said online their daughter was too frightened to stop the man but she took photos of the evidences with her mobile phone and sent messages to them to ask for help. 

The alarmed parents rushed downstairs to pick her up when the car arrived at their home but the driver escaped when the girl's father tried to pull him down the car. The parents said the driver had sped away to escape with his car door still open. 

The taxi company's statement came in the afternoon after local media widely reported the victim's allegation. The company said the allegation was true and the driver was fired. They would also send officials to the girl's home to apologize on behalf of the company.

The company did not mention whether police would be involved for any criminal investigation.
