Gas explosion kills 1, injures 3 in Songjiang

One woman was killed and three people were injured in a gas explosion this morning in Shanghai’s Songjiang District, xinmin.cn reported.

Of the three injured, a 60-year-old woman was in a stable condition at Ruijin Hospital while the other two had been discharged.

This incident happened in a shared two-story house. According to the report, a man smelled gas and found it was coming from his neighbor’s propane tank. When he went to turn the valve off, he accidentally turned it on and the tank exploded, the report said.
