Concert will commemorate WWII victory

More than 1,100 people in Shanghai will join a grand choral concert in the Pudong New Area on Sunday to commemorate China’s 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-fascist War.
Among the performers are local college students, white-collar workers, artists and foreign expats. They will present classic songs and dances of "The Internationale,” “On the Songhua River” and "Ode to Joy."
The choral concert is the largest ever to be held in Pudong.
Art Channel will broadcast the concert on August 13.
