Agreement to introduce US curriculum to local university

EAST China University of Science and Technology signed an agreement over the weekend with the Department of Human Resource Management at Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations in US to adopt the latter’s management and leadership curriculum module.
The curriculum will be incorporated in to the Shanghai-based University’s education system for the international class of its Master of Business Administration program.
Management of cross-cultural workforce has become an urgent issue for companies due to new needs brought by technology development and globalization, William G Castellano, associate dean of Rutgers’ Department of Human Resource Management, said at the signing ceremony, where a forum about vocational development in the era full of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity was held.
The increasing frequency of innovation also required companies to react swiftly in human resources management, he added.
