Seattle seals pact
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray signed a pact of economic partnership with his counterpart in Hangzhou, a key tech and e-commerce hub in China.
The memorandum of understanding, which promises to increase cooperation in fields from trade to life sciences and technology, was struck in the midst of Murray’s five-day trade mission to China.
In Hangzhou, the mayor was joined by representatives of local institutions with big interests there — Amazon.com, Costco, Blue Nile and the University of Washington, according to a release from the city.
