‘Beautiful citizens’

HANGZHOU has launched an online vote for “The Most Beautiful Hangzhou Citizens.”
Voters can join a lottery to win a telephone card valued at 200 yuan (US$32.72).
The selection aims to honor residents who have done good deeds or showed good morality in their daily work and life. They will be role models for all residents.
The candidates include a resident who caught a falling worker, a policeman who was injured when capturing suspects, a teacher who takes care of children for years and an athlete who won a big honor for the city. Voting ended last Thursday and the winners will be announced soon. A lottery will be held to determine the 100 winners of the telephone card.
