It’s playtime at Sheraton Qiandao Lake Resort

Leisure, nature and relaxation — it defines Sheraton Qiandao Lake Resort.

Tucked between lush mountains and Qiandao Lake in Zhejiang Province, the hotel specializes in ensuring all guests have a good time.

Guests coming from nearby cities like Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Ningbo may well feel as though they’ve reached paradise. The mountains, clear water and fresh air make a stark contrast to hectic city life.

Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pools and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Fresh from splashing about, head to the Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea or to Club Lounge on the 17th floor — the finest rooftop lounge on Qiandao Lake — for views of the beautiful scenery. Cocktails, stiff spirits and other summer thirst-quenching beverages await as the sun vanishes under the horizon.

All 249 rooms and suites have private balconies, allowing guests the option of enjoying the view in seclusion. Rooms are loaded with amenities including a 37-inch LCD television with satellite TV channels, the hotel’s trademark Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, large bathtub, signature rainforest shower and luxurious toiletries. Free high-speed Internet access is available in the public area and all the guest rooms. The 1,470-square-meter Presidential Suite on the top floor gives new meaning to luxury with an oversized swimming pool and a balcony offering a panoramic lake view.

From one luxury to another, Sheraton Qiandao Lake Resort provides some hands on pampering at Shine Spa, where well-trained therapists are skilled at soothing stiff and achy muscles. Others may prefer picking up the tempo with a high-energy workout in the fully equipped Sheraton Fitness Center. Families need not worry, the Kids Club and Water Park ensure the little ones have something stimulating and fun to do while mom and dad catch a little adult time.

At Sheraton Qiandao Lake Resort, a diverse spectrum of tastes makes dining a wonderful experience. Three restaurants and two lounge bars provide loads of options.

For authentic Cantonese cuisine, Yue is the place to go. This specialty restaurant only serves the freshest fish and the finest seafood. It also offers a Cantonese classic dim sum lunch buffet. Over at restaurant Fishing, diners are treated to signature Qiandao dishes including fish head soup. Fish and locally grown vegetables are also on the menu. The final option is Feast, which serves international cuisine 24 hours a day. The breakfast buffet is strongly recommended and Feast also serves a dinner buffet on weekends and holidays.

Clearly the emphasis is on leisure and recreation, but that doesn’t mean guests have to completely forget about business. The resort makes for a great backdrop to important meetings and conferences. The 10 function rooms cover a combined 1,694 square meters and can hold meetings of various sizes. The 750-square-meter Grand Ballroom, adorned with sparkling chandeliers, is a wonderful venue for wedding receptions. A professional catering team is on standby to provide guests exactly what they want.
