Conrad Xiamen brings hospitality to new level

BREATHTAKING ocean views are just the first of Conrad Xiamen’s many impressive services, amenities and offerings. The hotel, currently the tallest seaside hotel in the city, provides unparalleled standards of luxury and service to all visitors.

Conrad Xiamen enjoys direct access to a shopping mall and close proximity to major businesses and popular attractions. Just a short drive from the city’s airport, the hotel is within walking distance of Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University. Nearby, there’s also Baicheng Beach, the Zhongshan Road shopping area and the Gulangyu Island ferry terminal.

But before taking off for a tour of the city, visitors can experience the best of Xiamen right in the hotel through a design that faithfully captures the local culture.

“The key elements that everybody knows about Xiamen — such as the egret bird, phoenix tree and the Bougainvillea flower — have been integrated in many of the designs and procedures, in addition to the architecture itself,” says Michael Schmitt, general manager of Conrad Xiamen.

For instance, in the Chinese restaurant Lucheng, literally “egret city,” the chinaware and staff uniforms bear a stylish egret design. Elements of the phoenix tree and the Bougainvillea flower are used in uniforms for other departments.

The hotel rooms tower between floors 41 and 53, and are an average size of 60 square meters. All of its 241 stylish rooms and suites embrace a contemporary modern flair with breathtaking sea vistas.

Each room is equipped with a 48-inch flat-screen TV, high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, a Nespresso coffee machine, a selection of fine teas and 400-thread-count luxury bed linen. The bathrooms provide double vanity mirrors, premium-brand products and separate showers with dual shower heads.

Executive Lounge access on the 54th floor is offered exclusively to guests on the three executive floors, where they can enjoy complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktail and canapés.

“Guests can sample a range of cuisines, from divine Cantonese and Fujian fare, through to delectable Western menus and contemporary grill dishes; or take in an unforgettable view as they sample sensational cocktails in Xiamen’s highest bar on the floor 54 or indulge in the Heavenly High-Tea on level 38,” says Schmitt.

Featuring 2,000 square meters of flexible meeting and event space consisting of a pillarless ballroom with sea-facing foyer and eight multi-function meeting rooms of different configurations, the Conrad Xiamen provides a remarkable setting for both large and small meetings. It hosts impressive functions with a combination of state-of-the-art facilities, incredible views and stylish surroundings.

The hotel also puts great emphasis on providing flawless, personalized and intuitive service. “The team takes the time to understand the wants, needs, and desires that make each guest unique, and then uses these insights to create personal, authentic and memorable experiences,” says Schmitt.

Guests are welcomed to download the Conrad Concierge app to order its products or service whenever and wherever they choose. They can even specify a time for turn-down service or order room service on their way back to the hotel.

“It will be personal luxury at your fingertips,” says Schmitt.

Outside, the hotel has also created one-hour, three-hour and five-hour tour programs offering access to the best local culture, art, food and adventures.

“We believe that travel is not just about destination, but about how you use every minute of it,” says Schmitt. “And at Conrad Xiamen, we firmly believe that you should never just stay. You should stay inspired.”
