SIXTEEN business travel operators from nine tourist destinations in Australia including Sydney, the Gold Coast and Perth promoted their attractions during the Business Events Australia North Asia Showcase 2014 in Shanghai.
Australia welcomed 893,000 international business event delegates last year as of September, with a total expenditure of AUD$13 billion (US$12.22 billion). Chinese delegates represented 9 percent of these visitors and 11 percent of expenditure.
