Airline goes cheaper on some days

LOCAL Spring Airlines is offering cheaper flight tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday for all its flights because they are usually less popular. The flight from Shanghai to Phuket Island in Thailand, for instance, costs 990 yuan on Wednesday while the normal ticket price is 1,930 yuan on other weekdays, the budget airline said. More discounts are offered for flights between Shanghai and Hong Kong when most travelers tend to choose flights after Wednesday. A flight to Hong Kong costs 359 yuan on Wednesday, about 100 yuan cheaper than the next day, the airline said. “Most passengers choose to set off on Thursday and Friday for travel to make use of the weekends, so the airline offers discounts for the flights apart from these popular days,” a press officer with the airline said.
