Meetings Imagined is an online platform which enables planners to explore, get inspired and interact with event managers at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Tomorrow Square in just a few clicks.
As the first visual, social and collaborative website of its kind in the industry, Meetings Imagined boasts an inspiration gallery with more than 1,000 event images, covering everything from event setups to food and drink, technology and supplies to experience, says Jennifer Qin, director of marketing.
The hotel breaks down its meeting packages based around the purposes of celebrate, decide, educate, ideate, network, produce and promote. Event planners can view images of similar events presented by Marriott hotels around the world and discover the best match in order to achieve their goals.
JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Tomorrow Square also has a number of unique options for special occasions — such as the “World’s Highest Library” located on the 60th floor and outdoor pools with spectacular views.
With Meetings Imagined, event planners will be inspired by not only the gallery but expert tips and the hottest trends. Fresh ideas for future conferences and events are regularly added to the website.
Equipped with creative concepts and specialist knowledge, the events service team at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Tomorrow Square is expert in turning possibilities into reality.
The hotel’s TelePresence meeting room features three LED screens with a superb audio system for four-party conferences, which can connect seamlessly to any other TelePresence rooms across the globe.
As well as advanced meeting facilities, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Tomorrow Square is capable of managing events for as many as 3,000 guests for a sit down dinner. The food and beverage team is known for its “military precision” and “flawless execution” of its catering missions. By developing menus perfectly matched to each occasion, the hotel has gained wide recognition for its exceptional on-site and outside catering.
Furthermore, the hotel’s event managers can present a customized visual solution of a future meeting or event through Meetings Imagined. The website generates a link, which can be sent to a event planner for review or shared through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and email. The planner can also select photographs from the website and send these to the event manager to show their ideas and preferred styles. This will be confidential, with access only available to the recipient.
Meeting Services App (MSA) is another creation created by Marriott, which supports 20 languages. A suite of meeting management functions embedded in MSA allows event planners to hold real-time communications with the JW Event Concierge before and during the event.
Event planners will receive a customized link to MSA three days before the event to inform the hotel of all requirements.
During the event, changes such as room temperatures and lighting and food and drink can be requested directly through MSA. An event concierge will be reachable via MSA all the time, while a dedicated service team will act upon requests within three minutes.
MSA also supports multiple planners making requests, reviewing and sharing ideas and responses to ensure the success of every event.
As a result of its much persistence of professionalism and innovation, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Tomorrow Square has established itself as one of the most popular venues for event planners.
The hotel organized 460 meetings and events in 2014 — up 40 percent on the year before.
