Choose from variety of looks for spring

As the focus shifts to the great outdoors, dress codes become more relaxed than formal winter styles. Getting your wardrobe in check for a busy season of parties and gatherings is essential.

The fashion directive for parties is about slipping into outfits that will take you seamlessly from day to night while showcasing your own style.

For inspiration look to catwalk trends, up-and-coming designers or fashionable A-listers who have perfected the art of party dressing.

Chinese designer Yang Fang’s collection caters to women who prefer classic elegance. She presents an alluring universe of geometric shapes and shades of deep red, emerald, blue and black grey. Finesse and elegance playfully associate with metropolitan architecture in an ode to the strength and femininity of women.

For makeup, it’s best to stick with trends for parties and glamorous nights out.

It’s impossible to go wrong with bold lips and more neutral makeup. The looks always work wonders. Or make your eyes the center of attention. Both softer smoky eyes or vibrant smoky eyes are great looks. Use fantasy lashes from ShuUemurato for beautiful, thick eyelashes with a playful twist.

The spring and summer party season often requires a variety of looks depending on the occasion and your mood.

If a class reunion gathering has no dress code requirements, go bold or fun if your character allows.

Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott has selected 19 garments and accessories that play with the theme of Moschino’s iconic plush teddy bear.

Franco Moschino himself made teddy a fashion star in his own right on the dresses, coats and hats of the 1988 winter collection. A character of irresistible charm, the bear was Scott’s choice as a mascot for the perfume Toy, which launched in November.

The Tory Burch spring 2015 collection is for those who prefer a girlish sweetness. It captures the spirit of artist Francoise Gilot and the time she spent with Picasso in Vallauris. There’s a casual yet elegant ease seen in the softness of the lines, and a play between raw and refined. They thought about construction and engineered patterns: raffia tweeds, graphic smocking, textured knits paired with their digital-print counterparts. The silhouettes this season are simple and clean. An effortless way of dressing is the best way to present yourself at friendly gatherings without looking overdressed.
