Fresh menu at Westin’s Prego

ITALIAN restaurant Prego at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai has just launched its new menu created by new Italian chef Saverio D’Antonio, who has brought dishes from his hometown to Shanghai.

Signature dishes include the Florentine style sausage and beans plus tomato braised beef stripe, an ideal warm starter that’s not too heavy.

For fresh pasta, the pappardelle with oxtail ragout is not to be missed. The old Roman recipe takes three days to prepare the salty and rich oxtail sauce, which includes the special ingredient of dark chocolate.

A special beef counter is set up at Prego for guests to select their preferred cut of Wagyu beef, to be cooked to their liking.
