DOUBLETREE by Hilton Hangzhou East, conveniently located in the CBD of the Economic & Technological Development Zone of Hangzhou, is the first international full-service hotel in the area.

With easy access to Metro Line 1, the hotel is within easy reach of the city’s business heartland as well as Xiasha University Town, shopping malls, West Lake and the downtown area.

He Yuan Chinese Restaurant, on the first floor, is a fine dining restaurant. The menu features authentic Hangzhou and Zhejiang cuisines. Here you will also find the freshest seafood from the East China Sea and classic dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.

Buddha Jumps Over the Wall is a famous soup dish, originally from Fujian Province, that has been served in restaurants and homes for centuries.

There are various legends about its origin. One states that during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), monk Xuan Quan stayed in a small inn while passing through Fuzhou. He smelled a fantastic odor from next door which made him salivate. According to the legend, Xuan jumped over the wall to get his hands on this special dish, which thus got the name.

He Yuan’s chef follows the traditional recipe and uses well-selected abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, tendons, black mushrooms, turtle skirt, shell, pigeon eggs and other ingredients. The cooking process includes a combination of steaming, frying and stewing.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East has 308 well-appointed rooms including 291 guest rooms and 17 deluxe suites with modern amenities, high-speed Internet access as well as Wi-Fi and large desks for business travelers.
