‘The Voice of China’ 3rd season airs tonight

THE third season of popular reality singing competition “The Voice of China” will raise its curtain tonight on Zhejiang Satellite TV. The three-month series will be presented at 9pm on Fridays and will rock the nation and leave its musical legacy.
Compared with the first two seasons, the candidates this year are younger, bolder and more creative. Most have not received any professional musical training.
More stunning stage effects will be created this year at a cost of 30 million yuan (US$4.83 million). The stage lighting equipment is imported from the US.
For the first time, Taiwan pop singer-songwriter Chyi Chin, whose songs impressed many fans in the 1980s and 90s, will join the four-member coaching team. The other coach/judge members include Wang Feng, Yang Kun and Na Ying.
The show’s producers say the new season will reveal strong interaction between the mentors and contestants.
It is always a two-way street in the show, as the judges have to win the heart of the most gifted singers to build up their own teams.
They will then share with the trainees their expertise and experience to help them seize their musical dream.
One of the most successful reality singing competitions in China, the popularity of “The Voice of China” is usually attributed to its sense of honesty, unique voices of the grass roots, and veteran and responsible coaches.
The blind audition part of the show makes for a fairer contest because only the contestants with beautiful voices and deep emotion in the song will be capable of impressing the judges.
The judges will not turn their seats around unless the song touches them.
