Fabulous Oktoberfest party returns to Renaissance

RENAISSANCE Shanghai Yangtze Hotel is bringing back its hugely popular Oktoberfest party from September 20 to 30.

This is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world’s largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year. Nowdays, many cities around the world hold Oktoberfest celebrations modeled after the Munich event with live music and traditional Bavarian delicacies.

The original Munich Oktoberfest may be miles away, but this month the Renaissance beer tent will be rocking once again with revelers linking their arms and swinging their beers singing “Oans, zwoa, G’suffa” with all their might. Guests can indulge in a huge tent with interactive entertainment, German cuisine, fabulous lucky draw prizes, savvy service and beer flowing from the barrel.

This year, Bodo Skawina and his Munchen Musikanten band will bring music, dance and laughs to local revelers, who can also enjoy authentic German food and the famous Weihenstephan, freshly brewed beer from one of Munich’s oldest breweries. All the merriment will take place under an enormous blue-and-white tent in true Bavarian style. Come to the beer party and dance with Oktoberfest princesses and try to win “The Best Tracht” and other lucky draw prizes.
