Art for children’s sake at Poly Theater

WITH the summer vacation approaching, Shanghai Poly Grand Theater is ready to open its doors to children for an art appreciation from June to August.

With the first and second Poly Children’s Arts Festival well received, the theater increased the program number to 27 this year, expecting to benefit more children in the city.

This year’s Poly Children’s Arts Festival will be composed of three series of programs covering children’s theaters, concerts and a children’s chorus camp.

The children’s theater series this time will hit the audiences harder thanks to the visually impressive programs.

Multimedia theater “20,000 Miles Under the Sea” will guide children to explore the sea world.

“The Ugly Duckling” by Lightwire Theater from the United States will interpret the classic fairy tale in a much technological way.

“Shaun the Sheep” from the United Kingdom is determined to make audiences laugh.

Apart from traditional performances featuring young piano talents, the concert series will highlight some children-oriented themes, such as “summer dream” and “children’s picture book.”

The Poly Chorus Summer Camp will kick off in July, open to all children amateurs. The selected will be staged on July 23 after a four-day training session.
