Animals take center stage at The Hub
THE world’s largest colored and artistic animal installations are displayed in an exhibition titled “High! Animal!” at The Hub — western Shanghai’s newest landmark.
About 395 colored animal installations from Italy’s Cracking Art present stories that give the impression of “an attack by animals” at The Hub, transforming the place into a huge party and dancing venue.
The unique two-month exhibition will run through May 1.
“Snails” that give out colored lights invade the Yingbin Road; on the long corridor outdoors a group of “wolves” are lined up; the huge “crocodiles” climb onto the walls of the buildings; “rabbits” peep out from behind the trees off and on, overlooking the newly arranged Monopoly-themed sinking square.
Customers can “travel” to Burano — the Italian city of colors — by following the treasure map and closely interacting with the colored animals to win the surprising VR red envelopes.
They can also collect a variety of original designs and handmade products in the market of color, and share holiday greetings with friends.
The perfect combination of multi-sensory interaction and innovative environmental art installations passes on laughter, warmth and vitality to the customers.
The colored animal art exhibition is a new start for The Hub as it looks to become a landmark in west Shanghai, according to Carol Chen, general manager of The Hub.
“We hope to integrate such cross-border elements to raise environmental awareness, and create The Hub’s exclusive high-quality consumer experience,” she says.
“We also hope to continuously promote the brand connotation of ‘western Shanghai’ and strive to become not only the landmark of commerce, but also of art and culture in the city,” Chen adds.
