Trying to make a difference

I have always had a passion for raising awareness for humanitarian causes like gender equality, education, poverty and famine to name a few.
Since my election as Deputy Prefect of Service in Year 10 until today as a Service Prefect/Deputy Head Girl, I have been involved in leading and participating in events and assemblies run by the Service Committee for World Aids Day, International Women’s Day and more. I believe there is more to service than just fundraising. It is about raising awareness, empathy, helping people, and standing up for what you believe in.
I plan to take this ideal and make a difference in our world by volunteering for organizations like WWF or World Vision. I will also use my education to help others.
