Soaking up some sun in relaxing Sanya

What is the best way to spend the winter holidays? Well, personally, I prefer going somewhere warm. You know, some place with a beach and a pool. So with this in mind, our family went to Sanya in Hainan for the holidays.
Our hotel was right next to the beach, and better yet, our room had a view of the hotel pool and the ocean. In addition to the beautiful view of the ocean, one other perk of being right next to the beach is to be able to listen to the waves as they crash onto the shore — relaxing and comforting.
Other than the usual sun tanning on the beach and swimming in the ocean, there were other water activities as well like surfing, riding motorboats, snorkeling, and more. Each night, the hotel would have two singers perform different popular songs. On Christmas Eve, there was even a special barbecue event and the food included shrimp, fish and beef.
All the restaurants had coconuts drinks and seafood on their menus. Our stay in Hainan wasn’t a long one, only a week to be exact, but it truly was a great place to spend the holidays and relax.
