SCIS wins first place at ACAMIS MathQuest

THE inaugural ACAMIS MathQuest and Rubik’s Cube Challenge took place at the Qingdao No. 1 International School of Shangdong Province three years ago and has been hosted there ever since. For each of those three years SCIS has been awarded first place in both the individual and team events.

This year we came home with six trophies, including 1st and 3rd in the individual event, 1st in the team event, and 2nd in the mental math challenge.

Nick Kim was the overall winner and part of the 1st place team. Karin Eguchi was our only Rubik’s Cube challenge participant and beat her personal best. Congratulations to all participating middle school mathletes, under Mr La Londe and Ms Tualla, for yet another amazing math ACAMIS championship!
