It’s cool being teacher for a day

I was very excited to get all dressed up and sit at my Mrs Frangi’s desk when I was the Teacher of the Day for my 1st grade class. My classmates called me Ms Mackenzie and I loved it. I had a staff meeting with all the other teachers of the day. We discussed solving the problem of using only the tennis courts for recess, but the best part of the meeting was having a Slushie and talking with the other kids who were also teachers of the day.
My biggest responsibility was to choose and read a book to my entire class. I had never done this before so it was exciting. I chose to read “Little Dog Lost” about a dog that was found on an iceberg in the Bering Strait.
I did not get a chance to assign any homework and I did not have to send anyone to the principal’s office. I really enjoyed my day as a teacher and I hope I get a chance to do it again.
