Sourcing conference attracts major companies

THE Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing hosted the 13th China (Shanghai) International Sourcing Fair September 17-19.

Foreign companies seeking to develop more partners in China attended the fair. A total of 311 buyers and suppliers had set up stands, including 15 Global 500 as well as eight organizations of the United Nations.

The fair was expected to realize the goal of US$23 billion of purchasing in China.

The three zones of the convention were for industrial supplier, UN and international organization purchasing and supply chain service.

After 12 years of hard work, the international sourcing fair in China has built its own brand as a bridge between global buyers and suppliers.

The future goal is to focus on dividing more specific areas as well as increasing the number of exhibitors in industries like automobile, engineering and new energy.

As a product that reflects the manufacturing level of a country, the automobile industry is always witnessing revolutions in technology and changes in the industry.

As more smart and green technologies are used in producing cars, the market is expanding rapidly. The fair this year not only hosted a forum on the topic, but also established an area for car components and parts purchasing and an international supplier zone for refitted vehicles.

With an exhibition area of about 16,000 square meters, the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing accommodates meetings, exhibitions, offices and commerce and was built by Shanghai Changfeng Sourcing Investment Co.

The shell-shaped architecture was designed by Dao Design. The center hosts international exhibitions, trade fairs and seminars. There will be a one-stop service hall to provide assistance from Customs, banks and other business services.
