Shanghai Jiao Tong University has set up a new institute in Minhang centered on future technologies in energy and health. The school is among the first 12 mainland institutions of higher education to set up such facilities. It will do research in big data, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, and also encourage experimental engineering education and links with relevant industries.
