Museum pays tribute to beauty of flowers
If you love flowers, the Pearl Art Museum is the place to go. About 150 floral artworks are currently on exhibit through early December.
The exhibition, entitled “In the Name of Flowers,” features an international lineup, with works by Japan’s Araki Nobuyoshi, Moroccan Hicham Berrada, China’s Ai Jing, South Korean Cody Choi and about 20 other artists.
The floral tribute — the first exhibition at the museum since the outbreak of novel coronavirus — includes paintings, photography, sculpture and installations. Some of the exhibits are interactive.
“The exhibition aims to inspire new thinking about the relationship between humans and nature, among humans and within the human being himself,” said museum curator Li Dandan.
Each visitor is offered a free flower and asked to give it to a stranger as a gesture of courage, solidarity and friendship.
Date: Through December 6, Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-7pm
Tickets: 80 yuan
Venue: Pearl Art Museum
Address: 1588 Wuzhong Rd
