Currently, the park has over 200 registered enterprises. The annual tax revenue of the park reached 20 million yuan (US$2.9 million) last year.

“The park focuses on the Big Health industry,” said Huang Jian, general manager of the park. There are increasing enterprises stepping into the field of Big Health recently.

For example, Ali Group established Ali Health; Xiaomi created the Mi Weight Scale to explore the Big Health data; Tencent integrated the resources of licensed doctors to launch an online health inquiry business.

“We started construction in 2015. In July last year, enterprises began to move into the park,” said Huang.

The park is an advanced health industry cluster. It will focus on traditional Chinese medicine, health management and health technology with extended businesses including elderly care, mobile medical treatment, health finance, leisure sports and health-supporting industries.

The park has cooperative companions including Meinian Big Health, iKang Guobin Healthcare Group, Joyway, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ruijin Hospital. According to Huang, the Madong area where the industrial park is located has about 14 square kilometers of land.

Yuanshuo (Jiading) Traditional Chinese Medicine Outpatient Department and Yuanshuo Drug Store opened in a three-story building at the entrance of the park. Residents can see the doctor, buy medicine, receive traditional Chinese treatment including massage, acupuncture or application therapy there.
