Congress fuels hydrogen cell industry

The recent Fifth International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress (FCVC 2020) at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading was a success.
Sponsored by the China Society of Automotive Engineers and International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association, the event was where policymakers, technology developers, fuel cell vehicle manufacturers and global investors in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells got together.
More than 600 participants and 127 fuel cell-related enterprises showcased the latest technology and products.
Lu Fangzhou, Jiading’s Party secretary, said at the opening ceremony that the district is devoted to developing the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry.
He said the district would be making greater efforts to build a world competitive hydrogen energy harbor, speed up innovation to promote breakthroughs in research and development, demonstration applications and industrialization of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and take further measures to optimize the business environment.
As the first city in China to promote the development of hydrogen energy and the fuel cell industry as a regional industrial development strategy, Shanghai released the first domestic fuel cell industry plan in 2017.
An industrial plan for the Jiading hydrogen energy harbor which opened last June was released during the event. Anting Town and Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) signed contracts with 10 enterprises based in the hydrogen energy harbor.
