A touch of greenery for industry zone

THE future Jiading Industrial Zone will be a manufacturing base in a greenery park.
In the next five years the industrial zone will become more livable, like Silicon Valley. “Cells” with different functions will gradually embed the new town’s development.
Zhuqiao and Loutang, previously two small towns at the northwest portal of Jiading, will become a comprehensive service area of the industrial zone in the next five years, according to the district’s layout.
The future Zhuqiao will be a 4.12-square-kilometer residential area. In addition to farmland, forest and waterways, it will have shopping mall, hospital, cultural center, stadium and schools.
Research and development facilities will also be established there.
Loutang will become a place for leisure, according to the district’s plan. Its historical buildings and sites featuring late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) or early 20th century style will be well preserved at the same time.
Dengta Village in Loutang will become a destination for agricultural tourism. Jiading has decided to improve the village’s infrastructure to better serve visitors. Strawberries will become the village’s specialty and the village will provide accommodation for tourists who pick strawberries here.
Neighboring Cao’an Village will develop modern agriculture, tourism and services based on its pig farming. Yuhua Village nearby will develop scale planting, courtyard economy and seedlings.
