Expo Signs TV Deal

THE Expo organizer yesterday appointed Hong Kong's Phoenix Satellite Television an official media partner for the Shanghai Expo.

The organizer appointed the TV station to draw the attention of overseas Chinese to the 2010 event, said Zhong Yanqun, deputy director of the Shanghai World Expo Executive Committee.

The organizer has also signed contracts with China's Xinhua News Agency, Nanfang Media Group and Singapore's MediaCorp as media partners.
