Metro line work underway
Test runs have been carried out on the southern extension of the first phase of Metro Line 4 and the third phase of Metro Line 2, paving the way for the opening of the two lines by the end of this year.
The 11.2-kilometer extension of Metro Line 4 will connect with Line 5 at Nanxingqiao Station and Line 6 at Traditional Chinese Medicine University Station. The other six stations are: Puyan, Yangjiadun, Lianzhuang, Shuichengqiao, Fuxing Road and Yongjiang Road.
The third phase of Metro Line 2, between Fengtan Road Station and Liangzhu Road Station, has 10 stations, including Wenxin, Sanba, Xialongxu, Sandun, Dunxiang Street, Jinjiadu and Baiyang stations. Passengers can change to Line 5 at Sanba Station and Line 4 at Jinjiadu Station.
Hangzhou’s Metro network will expand to 10 lines with a total length of 446 kilometers before the 19th Asian Games opens in the city in 2022.
