Defaulters grounded
MORE than 90,000 individuals in Hangzhou who have poor credit records will be banned from leaving the country and their children will not be able to go to private schools.
The defaulters will be blacklisted and prevented from going to luxurious venues for consumption.
The credit information system consists of Credit Hangzhou portal website, a legal person database, a natural person database, a public credit information publishing system, an on-site inquiry system and government joint supervision system. So far 40 government departments and nine public utility companies have pooled nearly 1.3 billion pieces of credit information in the system.
The system shares credit information with Zhejiang Public Credit Information Platform and Small and Medium Loan Inquiry Platform of the People’s Bank of China.
