Airshow gives visitors chance inside ARJ21 jet
VISITORS to an airshow in Zhuhai will be able to get on board China’s domestically developed ARJ21 regional jet for the first time, the organizers told a press conference in Shanghai yesterday.
Two ARJ21 jets will be on display at the 10th Airshow China and one of the jets will make its flight debut, said Zhou Zuode, general manager of the airshow organizing company. Visitors will get the chance to step inside the jet, he said.
The airshow will also show off a cabin of a C919 single-aisle passenger aircraft, China’s first domestically developed narrow-body passenger aircraft, Zhou said.
On display at the event will be China’s Beidou Navigation Satellite and spacecraft of manned space programs.
Another highlight will be the Aviation Industry Corp of China’s exhibit of missiles, rockets and drones of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force.
An admission ticket for the airshow, to be held between November 11 and 16, costs 400 yuan (US$65). Around 430,000 visitors, the largest number for the annual event, are set to visit the show which will have 700 space and aviation companies taking part and 130 aircraft on display.
