Shanghai land sales plunge
LAND sales in Shanghai plunged in the first three months of this year, both in volume and value, according to a data released by Fang.com.
Land parcels totaling 1.12 million square meters were sold between January and March, fetching 26.5 billion yuan (US$4.3 billion), a drop of 103.7 percent and 76.5 percent, respectively, from a year ago.
Citywide, the Pudong New Area, Zhabei and Qingpu districts led others in terms of sales by value, China’s largest property website said.
