Razer targets regional growth
RAZER, which makes gadgets for game fans, will open more stores and expand into entertainment service in China.
The company, which opened its first Chinese mainland flagship store in Shanghai, expects its Asia-Pacific revenue, led by Chinese market, to grow strongly. Asia-Pacific accounts for a third of company’s global revenue, said Alain Mazer, Razer’s global PR director.
Razer has expanded into Android game platform and virtual reality sectors, both of which have great potential in the domestic market with a huge base of gamers, said Mazer.
In 2015, China’s gaming industry revenue was about 140 billion yuan (US$21.3 billion) with more than 500 million gamers, said International Data Corp.
