Oracle sees a silver lining in every cloud

ORACLE Corp is moving its business into cloud-oriented services in China to tap the many companies which have established online cloud servers, the world’s biggest enterprise management software and database vendor said yesterday.

In China, Oracle will offer customers tailored services on security and governance compliance, said Peter Wu, Oracle China’s vice president.

China has many firms dealing with huge data volume covering telecommunications, banking and Internet, which require Oracle’s integrated services on cloud and database.

Oracle is joining the fiercely competitive cloud market in China which has drawn domestic and overseas rivals, including Microsoft, Amazon, Dell and Alibaba.

China’s public cloud computing revenue is expected to surge 33.2 percent annually from 2015 to 2018.
