Dianping, Parkson tie up

DIANPING.COM, a Chinese version of Yelp and Groupon, yesterday said it will cooperate with business property firm Parkson on mobile technologies and data analysis to offer consumers a better shopping experience.

Dianping, with over 200 million users, offers Parkson services including mobile portal, online coupons, restaurant table reservation and mobile payment in 60 Parkson shopping malls in 34 cities nationwide including Shanghai.

“Chinese shoppers are challenging retailers to invest in technology that meets their requirements for a convenient retail experience,” said Jill Puleri, senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Retail.

“It will ultimately inspire loyalty and spending in this highly competitive market.”
