Apple Pay to debut on China's mainland on February 18
APPLE Pay, the wireless payment service for Apple devices, will debut on the Chinese mainland on Thursday, Shanghai Daily learned today.
Compared with popular mobile payment services depending on bar code scanning, Apple Pay offers consumers easier and safer ways through NFC (near field communications) technology.
Apple Pay allows users to pay for Starbucks Coffee and Metro tickets by Apple devices including iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
The service will gradually support 20 Chinese banks including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank and SPD Bank.
