Top group to oversee Silk Road plan
CHINA has set up a senior-level coordination group to oversee its plan to create a modern Silk Road.
Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli will head the group, with deputies including State Councillor Yang Jiechi, Vice Premier Wang Yang, and Wang Huning, head of the Party’s Policy Research Office, the Party news website (www.cnpcnews.cn) said.
President Xi Jinping has said he hopes annual trade with countries involved would surpass US$2.5 trillion in a decade.
