MUJI sales soar overseas
JAPAN’S Ryohin Keikaku Co, the operator of MUJI retail stores, said yesterday that its overseas sales soared 1.6 times to 77.1 billion yen (US$642 million) year on year on contribution from Asian stores, including China.
Sales of its Chinese mainland stores surged 162.2 percent to 30.6 billion yen, while Hong Kong stores jumped 122.1 percent to 10.9 billion yen, according to the company’s annual report.
