SALES of fast moving consumer goods in China rose 3.6 percent in the three months ended July 15, after performing sluggishly in the prior three months, according to a latest study.

Sun-Art Group, which operates the RT-Mart and Auchan brands, retained its leading rank with a 7.6-percent market share followed by Vanguard Group as both retailers expanded in the middle and western regions of the country.

Meanwhile online spending of fast-moving consumer goods made up 5.5 percent of the total sales volume in the quarter ending July 15.
