DuPont’s innovation center in Shanghai

DUPONT yesterday opened its new innovation center in Shanghai to create solutions to global challenges.

DuPont Shanghai Innovation Center, the US company’s first on the Chinese mainland and 13th in the world, will focus on the latest scientific innovations, applications and products that meet the needs of the market in food, consumer electronics, automotive and energy industries.

The innovation center aims to “uncover unmet needs of populations and create value-adding solutions to global challenges,” Douglas Muzyka, DuPont senior vice president, said yesterday.

Tony Su, president of DuPont China, said the firm aims to create and grow partnerships with key stakeholders to foster innovation to align with local needs to create lasting, sustainable solutions in China and globally.
