Shanghai ranked as the world’s 16th best financial hub

SHANGHAI ranked the 16th in a list of 87 global financial hubs, followed by Shenzhen at the 22nd and Beijing for the 26th place, a survey showed today.
London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo were ranked in the top five places.
Shanghai's ranking remained at the 6th in Asia, the same as in the same survey released in March. But the city's financial infrastructure gained higher points among the assessment, the Global Financial Centers Index report showed.
The ranking is compiled by London-based Z/Yen Group and China Development Institute. The index started from the year of 2007.
