3D-printing expo attracts 100 companies

MORE than 100 companies took part in a 3D-printing industry expo that kicked off yesterday at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
The China 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance announced at the expo that it will cooperate with 100 schools in the country in editing textbooks and training teachers in 3D printing technology, as well as set up innovation centers to inspire creativity.
They will also cooperate with 100 hospitals to develop digital medical centers.
Luo Jun, CEO of the World 3D Printing Technology Industry Association, said 3D printing in China is at the phase of conceptual popularization and that more effort is needed to cultivate talent and regulate the market.
The expo will run until June 1 when a conference will be held to discuss 3D printing development.
