AN official in northwest China's Shaanxi Province angrily abused an exam supervisor on Saturday after he was warned for being late for a test, according to Xi'an Evening News.

Wang Xianliang, director of the Qianxian County Science and Technology Bureau, said he paid for his diploma and didn't need the exam supervisor to be concerned about him, the newspaper reported.

The financial statistics and management exam was being held for Communist Party School postgraduates. Because Wang was late, he was told he had to wait to take the test until all the exam-room rules were explained to him. He reportedly began shouting at the supervisor: "What the hell is this exam! Are you crazy to take it as real? I paid for it. I don't need you to care about me."

The newspaper said Wang's yelling could be heard in nearby classrooms and caused a disruption that forced authorities to prolong the exam period for more than 10 minutes.

Wang refused to answer questions over the incident when a reporter from the newspaper called to interview him by phone. The official then loudly replied that he had right to know who disclosed his behavior to the media, the newspaper said.
